How old is your car? If it’s more than a few years old, chances are good that there are at least some parts that may need to be replaced. While the big stuff – engine, transmission, etc. – will typically last for the life of a vehicle, there are many other components that wear out over time.
While not an exhaustive list, this will give you a good idea of the things that you may have to think about soon. And no matter what you need, you can get it through the MotorWorld parts department.
Battery
Your battery is integral to making your car start, so you’d be lost if it wasn’t working. This is why it is worth having it tested periodically. It’s also good to keep in mind that they generally last about three to five years.
Filters
There may be more filters in your vehicle than you realize, and because they’re meant to collect things like dirt and dust, eventually they get very dirty. The air, oil, and fuel filters all need to be replaced at some point or another.
Brake Pads
Brakes get a good workout every time you drive, especially if you’re often in stop-and-go traffic around Wilkes-Barre.
While the brakes themselves will probably be fine for a very long time, the pads may need to be replaced periodically.
Spark Plugs
Like the battery, your car won’t be doing much of anything without good spark plugs. Gradually, they can get corroded, which will impact engine performance. Spark plugs generally need to be changed every 20,000 to 30,000 miles.
In addition to getting parts from us, they can also be installed at our Cadillac service center. Get in touch to schedule an appointment.
